 Prerequisite:
Just be over 10yrs old (at discretion of the instructor)and want an adventure. This beginner course is designed to teach you the basics, just enough to experience diving for the first time in a safe and comfortable manner. A Medical Questionnaire is required; if you have any pre-existing medical conditions you may need to see a doctor before trying SCUBA diving. If you are unsure whether a medical condition is relevant please see the attached.
Course outline:
This course is normally taught in the afternoon on our one-tank dive trip. As with all dive trips it is weather dependant, so if you are uncertain about the weather please call our shop the evening before or the morning of your trip. If you would like to change your booking for any reason, our Cancellation Policy will apply. You are not charged if Blue Water Divers cancels the dive trip, and you may reschedule at your convenience.
The course begins on the boat trip out to the dive site, when one of our Instructors will run through basic theory, hand signals, equipment and diving skills. You will then be accompanied by a certified Instructor on a guided dive in shallow water (no deeper than 40 feet).
We often dive the double-wreck site of the Constellation/Montana on this trip, however your captain will choose the best site each day depending on the weather and suitability of conditions. If you enjoy your experience you can dive again without repeating the lesson, under the same professional supervision.
Although this is not a permanent certification your Instructor can help you decide how to move on to certification that is recognised world-wide!

| Reservation must be assured by a pre-payment or a deposit with a credit card. Forfeiture of the whole amount of the excursion will occur if 24 hours minimum notice is not given. For groups the cancellation notice will be greater than 48 hours. |
